I’m a 51 Pegasi b postdoctoral fellow in the UC Santa Cruz Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences studying planetary magnetism and interiors.

I did my PhD, followed by a year of postdoctoral studies, in the Harvard Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences. My research focused on using a combination of meteorite paleomagnetism and diverse modeling techniques (finite element cooling models, detailed crustal magnetic modeling, computational petrology) to interpret Mars’s early magnetic field. While my PhD work mainly focused on Mars’s early dynamo, I also applied these techniques to study the magnetic histories of Mercury and the Moon.

I was born and raised in Richmond, VA.
